the verdict is in..
last night i ventured out into the craziness known as opening night for sex and the city 2. not only did i get kicked out of the first show that my friend and i attended (apparently we sat in 2 seats that were already taken?!) but i was extremely disappointed with the movie. i wont give anything away, but i did think i would enjoy it more than i did. bummer!

loving blue
it was my mission to find some fab blue shoes to wear when i got married and i failed miserably. i ended up wearing champagne colored shoes (boring!) because I just could not find anything else that i fell in love with. these are gorgeous and made by mugnai and can be found here. someone, please enjoy!

kinda cool
i saw this on etsy which can be found here and thought it was kinda cool. for $49, this is a great way to transform any outfit. also comes in other colors.

florals are fun
despite the cheesy title, floral's are everywhere this summer. i love floral dresses because i think a lot of them can be paired with tights, boots and a motorcycle jacket and worn all fall/winter long. i try and pick prints that are not too big because they are more neutral and easier to pair with cardigans/jackets/accessories. urban outfitters has a lot of great options at the moment.

mcginn, colorblock floral dress-$260

the one for me
a few weeks ago i did a posting on my search for the perfect fedora and i wanted to follow up. here is the lucky guy. it is from urban outfitters and was a whopping $28! i decided on this one because it wasnt overwhelming large, it fit my head the most snug without being too snug, and i loved the straw with black ribbon. i wear it almost every weekend now! i must admit though...aj is still adjusting...hehe

beach bound
this is the first of many posts to come dedicated to finding the perfect swimsuit. last year i bought a few from victoria secret, and this year i am wondering what the heck i was thinking. they are t.e.r.r.i.b.l.e! i have tried to make victoria secret bath suits work for many reasons. 1. they are cheap. 2. free shipping 3. they have a large variety. 4. they are cheap.
this summer, i am taking a different approach. although i am not interested in spending $150+ on a bathing suit (or anything close to that), i do want to buy something that fits well, looks good, and is not from target. here are a few that i love. unfortunately, they are not budget friendly. arrhhhh
milly, maui string bikini top-$105.80
ralph lauren, ruffled halter-$60
juicy couture, demi-$85 and $98
dvf, ring bikini-$98 and $92
betsey johnson, floral print-$70 and $82
