i'm trying to resist

over the past few months i got into the habit of throwing away all my j.crew magazines as soon as they arrived in the mail. they were banned inside the house as i forced myself to throw them away in the garage.

well, last night i was over at a friend's house watching the bachelor pad (soooo trashy, but so good!) and she threw the catalogue in front of me. the cover screamed open me and i simply could not resist. now, i can't get their fall classic leather goods out of my mine. arrhhh this is why i always throw them away!!

i found myself standing in front of the nail polish wall forever this weekend when i went in to get a pedicure. so, i decided i should browse and see what colors catch my eye so i can be better prepared next time. here is what i found that i am loving...

i have been so distracted about cooking this recipe, i can not seem to focus on fashion. seriously, how good does this look?!?! tomorrow, i'm heading to the grocery store to pick up the ingredients and make this, i can not wait! i found the recipe on this blog, head there for the yummy recipe!

yeah right, i wish! but, i did decide to take the plunge and get my hair chopped on saturday. i had a lot of hesitation because i was going to a new stylist but was fortunately pleasantly surprised and loved her!! here is the pic i brought in for inspiration....



and here is the finished product on the way home! unfortunately, i didn't leave looking like reese witherspoon, but figured it was the closest i was going to get without getting plastic surgery! :)

feeling anxious to...

fishtail braid my hair once it gets longer! i am loving this trend and just recently learned how to braid my own hair like this. it looks ok, but would be a lot cuter if my hair was longer. here is a video that does a great job explaining how.

i am always on the lookout for a great shampoo and conditioner that won't break the bank. well, this line of aveeno products has really impressed me. the shampoo makes my hair feel ultra soft and the conditioner is very rich. for about $4+ each, you really can't go wrong!

ok, i don't know if anyone is actually calling her mk, but mary-kate olsen looks fierce in the latest issue of marie claire. i have always loved her and sis ashley and think they are pretty amazing for accomplishing as much as they have. their clothing lines the row and elizabeth and james are two of my favorites. too bad they are super expensive. here are some pics of mk in this months issue...

for the little one

so, this is my first official post for children clothing. moms: please do not get too excited, this will happen infrequently until i have a bun in the over. non-moms: don't worry, there is no bun in any oven around here so you will not see these posts often.
