i have been seeing the scalloped edge trend all over the place for spring and summer and i am ready to purchase! these shorts above are by chloe, but for a more afforable option, see below. those are from urban outfitters, can be found here, are only $48, and come in three colors. um, yes please!

store it up

there are many different lovely aspects of the home i share with my loving husband and sweet pup. we have a kitchen. we have an office. we have a master bedroom. we also share a small walk in closet thats about the size of a pantry. its something i am trying to cope with on a daily basis.

so, in the midst of my growing wardrobe and jewelry collection, i am running out of places to put everything. all of my jewelry is lumped together in a linen closet at the moment which makes it very hard to see. i found this gorgeous jewelry armoire shown above (which can be found here for $540) and felt inspired. who doesn't want there closet entry way to look this chic? is it worth the $540 (i'm leaning towards yes!) or are these just as great, and cheaper?

in the july issue of instyle (featured cameron diaz on the front) i found a pair of really cute earrings featured by designer sonya renee. her website can be found here and they have so many great, classic looks that are sure to be in style for years to come. her prices are extremely reasonable (most items for under $100) and i love all the gold that she uses. here are some of my favorite pieces from her.

found it, can't live without it

i am always looking for a new face wash to make me feel fresh and like i just got a facial...but for under $4! this new face wash out by st. ives does just that. in the past i have used other st. ives face washes but nothing this good. i immediately loved how it made my face feel from the first time i used it, until now. about 4 weeks ago i purchased it from target and could not find it anywhere else so you may want to check there first. let me know what you think!

instyle has always been a favorite of mine and this july issue reinforces my love for this magazine. cameron diaz looks stunningly beautiful and i loved the article about her life right now. the 37 yr old has always been in my top 5 favorite actresses and i love her more and more as time goes on. how is she still single?!?

i was thrilled to recently discover this hidden online gem. why has it taken me so long to find this darn website?!?

aj and i have been out of town the past 5, yes 5, weekends and i have been driving myself crazy trying to find travel size everything. this genius website carries everything you need for traveling under the tsa regulations. 3 floz.com has great brands, prices, and anything you could possibly need while vacationing. since most airlines are charging for checked bags, i have been trying my hardest to pack light while still bringing key items under 3fl oz. you can search for a particular item you are interested in (i.e. masks, conditioner, eye cream) so you do not overlook any of your specific needs.

take a little time

this weekend i was visiting my fam in atlanta and stopped by scotts antique market for some finds for the house. along the way, i unexpectedly found some really cool jewelry. this place is huge so you have to go well fed, well rested, and in comfy shoes.

there were many vendors with really expensive jewelry like diamonds, but many vendors had costume jewelry like these shown below. i definietly had to search through many bins to find these, but it was well worth the search. i love these long, chunky necklaces and they were ultra affordable. if you are in the atlanta area, click on the link above for more details about scotts.
